GROWN FROM THE LOVE OF BEER
With backgrounds in farming, restaurants, and brewing, it is no coincidence husband and wife duo, Wesley Tice and Taylor Shaw, decided to open a Brewery and Taproom of their own. Upon seeing the historic, two-story brick mill building in Proctorsville, VT, they knew the space would be perfect them. Combine that with a long history and love of the area, it was a no brainer.
OUR TAPROOM
Since our opening in 2019, our Taproom has become a social gathering space for visitors and locals alike. Featuring a wood-fired oven, an oversized bar, live music on the weekends, and seating built for making new friendships, we are proud to be one of the area's favorite après ski spots. Located just five minutes from Okemo Mountain, skiers and riders can easily escape to our riverside Taproom on The Green in Proctorsville.
OUR BREWERY
At Outer Limits we are proud to be brewing on the Peter Austin Brick Kettle System of which less than 200 have been installed worldwide. With a mix of open and closed fermentation our entire 10bbl system has been fabricated to our specific needs. Our beers reflect our desire to showcase our system as well as provide a little something for everyone.
Peter Austin was responsible for a new concept of beer making: microbreweries. He founded Ringwood Brewery in 1978 and went on to open 40 breweries in the UK after which he began to work internationally, building 140 breweries in 17 countries. After his passing, Alan Pugsley (Austin’s protégé) took over installing this system worldwide and worked close with us to fabricate our system to our specific needs. This system is reliable, rugged, hands-on, and easy to operate. This system provides the flexibility and simplicity we were looking for in a brew system.
